The Initial Consultation: This is where we meet you
and conduct a detailed and in-depth consultation regarding your
garden or land. We will establish your requirements, desires, aspirations,
likes and dislikes with regard to your garden or land, and establish what you
want from it in the future. We will at this stage, also
conduct a visual survey of the site. This will enable us to more
fully understand your situation and thus make
suggestions and work more closely with you in order to achieve your
aims and
requirements so that you and your family may derive the best use,
amenity and enjoyment from your garden or land in the future. This
initial consultation usually takes up to two hours and our fee for
this is £70 plus mileage (if applicable), payable at the time of the
consultation. 50% of this fee (£35) can
be deducted from the total costs when you go on to commission us for
any of our other services. Contact Us if you would like to book an Initial Consultation. Back to top.
Written Report:We can write up an individual report based on the initial consultation process. This will include a write-up of the initial consultation, the resulting plan of action, and basic suggestions and/or recommendations regarding options of materials to use, but not a scale design plan. This report could be of great benefit if, for example, you wish to carry out the design and landscaping construction work, or the majority of the construction work yourselves; or if you wish for us to do the design work, or the design and the setting out, and then for you undertake the landscaping work yourselves. A Written Report usually takes around six to ten hours to research and complete and our fee for this service is £245 payable at 50% upon commissioning the report and the remainder when we present you with the completed written report. Contact Us to book an Initial Consultation in the first instance. Back to top.
Design Services:Having
completed the initial consultation process we will have an in-depth
understanding of you requirements. We can then produce a design plan
in the form of a hand-drawn working scale plan for your particular
garden or plot of land. In order for us to do this we will conduct a
detailed survey. This will include taking detailed measurements and plotting
the topography of the site; photographing and making notes of
existing features and fixed aspects. We will also establish the
orientation and aspect of the site and research the surrounding area
with respect to ecological and environmental influences. We will also
take into consideration factors such as soil type, soil pH (acidity),
soil condition, in all necessary parts of the site, as well as
factors such as areas of shade, micro-climates, and the extent of
frost etcetera. By doing this we can build up a complete appreciation
for any variation in the conditions in various parts of your garden
or land. The design plan will include all the aspects of the proposed
hard landscaping. Also existing fixed features and any features you
wish to retain, as well as proposed growing areas such as flower beds
and boarders, vegetable plots etc. as required by yourselves. If you
wish, a detailed planting plan can be constructed as a separate
commission either when initiating the Design Services or at a later stage. The benefits for you of having a scale working drawing to work
from include having the option of doing the landscaping yourself or
hiring someone who can give you a price for the work based on the
scale working drawing. It also gives you the option of completing all
the work in one go, or in stages or phases – to suit your budget
for example. The fees for our design services are based on the area
of the garden or plot of land in question, and are as follows: Gardens
up to 200
m2:
£490 plus mileage (if applicable); 201m2
up to 400 m2:
£695 plus
mileage (if applicable); 401 m2
up to 600 m2
£895 plus
mileage (if applicable); More
than 601m2:

for our design services are payable at 50% upon initiating the commission, and the remainder when we present you with the completed
scale design plan. Contact Us for an Initial Consultation prior to booking our Design Service. Back to top.
Planting Plan:We
can design and supply you with a fully detailed planting plan to
accompany the design plan for your garden or land. The planting plan
will provide measurements for setting out and planting your boarders,
beds, and plots, and contain the plant names, including the Latin
names, and the variety if applicable. It will also include suggested
/ alternative pot sizes for when you are ordering and buying plants.
Some of the benefits of having
a properly thought out and organised planting plan are: It will enable
you to have good idea of what the finished effect will be like,
calculate the correct number of each plant species to buy, and thus
accurately calculate the costs of planting up you garden. As with the
design services, our planting plans are based on area of your garden or plot of land,
and are as follows: Gardens up to 200
m2:
£140*; 201m2
up
to 400 m2: £195*; 401
m2
up
to 600 m2
£255*; More
than 601m2:
Individually Quoted. *Mileage
will be added for planting plans commissioned where no design
services have been ordered from us. Fees for planting plans are
payable 50% upon commission, and the remainder when we present you
with the completed planting plan. Contact

If after the initial
consultation and completion of the subsequent design plan, you wish us to undertake the setting out of you garden
or land according to the design plan, we will be happy to do this
for you. This could be of great benefit to you if, for example, you
wish to carry out the construction and landscaping yourselves but
don't feel too confident about the initial setting out process, or working from scale drawings. This
may be the case if steps or level changes are involved or if you are
not sure how to establish and work from datum levels for example; or
if you intend to hire a contractor to do the hard landscaping but
want to be sure it will conform accurately to the design plan. We charge an
hourly fee of £35, plus mileage (if applicable) for our
setting out services and will be happy to give you a firm price for
your particular site. Fees for our

out process. Contact Us for an Initial Consultation in the first instance. Back to top.
