Our Philosophy

First and foremost, we are here to help you get the maximum amenity and enjoyment from your garden. We understand that everyone has different requirements with regard to what they use their garden for and what they want and expect from their garden. Some prefer to do everything in the garden themselves DIY fashion, while others prefer to have everything - or certain things done by a professional. Likewise, some garden owners have years of experience while others may be first-time buyers with little or no gardening experience. We fully appreciate therefore that your garden is as individual as you are, and we will work closely with you throughout our commission, not only to determine your level of confidence knowledge and experience, but also in order to adapt our range of services or a particular service to your specific individual needs and requirements.

For those people with a disability or mobility issue which affects your use or enjoyment of your garden. We can probably help to ameliorate those affects in most cases by re-designing your garden, or certain aspects of it, to suit your individual circumstances. We will of course be happy to discuss your individual problems or requirements with you so feel free to contact us.

There is an increasing awareness of climate change and people being more environmentally conscious. This, coupled with the trend towards more gardeners wanting to attract more wildlife into their gardens, or even to create complete wildlife gardens from scratch, means we are the ideal people to help in such cases. We have considerable knowledge, experience and understanding of our native British wildlife and the wider ecological and environmental issues related to gardens and gardening. While this is our special area of interest and expertise, we will not push this aspect if it is not part of what you want for your garden. We will however, be pleased to draw up a design for- and give advice and guidance on garden wildlife habitats or features, and garden ecology problems and queries if required.

We are always mindful that it is your garden, so whatever it is you require, we will always do our best to accommodate those requirements. If you just need some advice for example, that's fine. If you want a complete garden overhaul and re-design, or if you wish to build a folly, that's fine too.

Whilst we are not a charity – we need to make a living like everyone else – we will not try to persuade you into taking any of our other services if they are not totally appropriate to your individual needs. And if you are not entirely sure what you want or what can realistically be achieved, we will be happy to advise you, but we will not try to produce a design for example, or incorporate something into a design which you did not ask for or that does not fit you needs or requirements. We very much enjoy gardening and we want you to feel the same if that is your wish. We can therefore offer the same enthusiasm and commitment in achieving this as you may have yourself.
